I'm an independent damp and timber surveyor covering Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire, Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands..

 

I hold an MSc in Building Surveying (Distinction) and an ABBE Level 3 Award in Damp, Mould & Condensation. Before specialising in damp and timber defects, I worked across building surveying, pre-acquisition surveys, dilapidations and construction project management, gaining experience on projects ranging from individual homes to large-scale developments.

 

I am also an Associate Surveyor with Neil Marsden Associates, an established independent damp and timber consultancy with over 30 years' experience in the industry.

 

Every survey I undertake is completely independent. I do not carry out remedial works, have no sales targets to meet, and have no vested interest in recommending unnecessary treatments. My role is simply to identify the cause of the problem and provide clear, practical advice on how it should be addressed.

 

Whether you're a home buyer requiring a pre-purchase survey, a landlord investigating a damp concern, or a homeowner seeking answers, I'll provide a straightforward assessment and a detailed report, typically within 48 hours of the inspection.
